Lani Magaña

A group of six hikers walking through a grassy meadow towards a forest of tall evergreen trees under a clear blue sky.

My name is Lani Magaña and I am a third year Environmental Studies major. This summer I will be working at the Ken Norris Center for Natural History studying the effects of urbanization on squirrel behavior and population distribution at UCSC.

I am excited for this mentored internship opportunity and to learn more about human impacts on small mammalian species. My hobbies are cooking, crocheting, and exploring nature with friends.
