Hi! My name is Benjamin Pham and I’m a second-year double major in Marine Biology and Environmental Science. This summer I’m working with the Costa Lab, focusing on sea lion haul-out behavior and the environmental factors that influence it. I’m especially excited about learning new research methods—everything from handling tide and temperature datasets to programming image-based analysis—and seeing how these skills can be applied to real-world ecological questions.
Beyond academics, I love hiking, gardening, and enjoying a new book or music album. One of the best parts of CAMINO so far has been the chance to connect with mentor and bring involved in research and programming.
