Hi, my name is Mateo Monteiro (he/him), and I am a first-year Marine Biology major. Over the summer, I will work under the Raimondi-Carr lab with Calvin Munson to study the correlation between species competition and kelp forest recovery.
I’m super excited to be a part of a team and do lab work while gaining experience for my future. I love adventuring in the Santa Cruz mountains, cooking, and playing with my dog.
