I am a future Computer Engineer with interests in Computational Ecology, Data Analysis and Environmental Modelling. During the Summer of 2024, I worked with Dr. Goljani Amirkhiz at the Zavaleta Laboratory to model the historical distribution of Sierra Nevada alpine breeding birds. During this opportunity I was able to work developing Species Distribution Models (SDMs).

The results of this work will help scientists to compare the current and historical distribution of alpine birds to understand the impact of climate change. I grew up in Mexico but since high school I’ve lived in California, from San Diego to Santa Cruz and some of my hobbies are backpacking, rock climbing and scuba diving.
