Giovanni Lopez is an aspiring fish biologist from Los Angeles. Although far from nature in the city, the Aquarium of the Pacific sparked his love of marine life and eventually brought him to UC Santa Cruz.
Currently interning at the Bernardi Lab, Giovanni hopes to use his knowledge to help conserve steelhead trout and chinook salmon populations throughout the Pacific Coast.
