My name is Amy Chattaway (she/her), and I am a senior Ecology and Evolutionary Biology major working in the Invasion Potential of the Annual Plant Dittrichia Graveolens in Grasslands internship in the Parker Lab with Miranda Melen. I am interested in learning more about the traits of this species that have allowed it to establish and spread in California, and how better understanding of the reproductive biology of this species can help inform native plant conservation efforts and invasive species management. I love hiking, learning about local natural history, identifying plants and animals, and just being outdoors in general, and I am so excited to be in the field this summer to learn more research methods!
