Hi everyone, my name is Selah! This summer, I have been working in the Raimondi-Carr lab studying marine and terrestrial connectivity through the consumption of pinniped carcasses by scavengers. I am an Environmental Science major going into my fourth year, so I have really enjoyed this time gaining research experience before my imminent leap into the career force. I loved getting into the field with my mentor, Frankie, and conducting fieldwork alongside the other students on our team. It was fun to hike the beach for our studies, as I am from San Diego and have always been interested in hiking and all things beach-related. I am grateful to have worked with such a wonderful team, and I hope to continue working with this lab to study such an important ecosystem relationship.
